Hengstler AD58S absolute rotary encoders are developed with DRIVE-CLiQ technology, a Siemens ethernet-based communication protocol designed for high-performance motion control, commonly used within machine automation applications where safety monitoring is paramount.

The driveshaft connection is a stainless steel tapered solid shaft with an M5 internal thread. Spring fasteners are supplied to couple the encoder to a flat surface to compensate for radial or axial shaft misalignment.

High resolutions up to 24-bit single-turn and 12-bit multi-turn with a wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +110°C with protection class ratings of IP50 are available.

The supply voltage is 10 to 30V DC. PCB data and temperature connections are radial, optional connecting cables up to 30 metres in length with an M12 connector, or a two-pole temperature connecting cable is available to order separately.

Encoders are RoHS-compliant, UL-approved, and CE-marked.
