Hengstler RI76TD incremental rotary encoders are designed to accept large driveshaft diameters of up to 42mm; the outer diameter is only 76mm, making the RI76TD rotary encoder a perfect choice for installations where space is restricted.

The RI76TD encoder can easily mount onto a rotating drive shaft and secured using a front or rear clamping ring.

Spring fasteners, either rigid or flexible, are used to couple the encoder to a flat surface preventing rotation of the encoder housing. Spring fasteners compensate for axial and radial shaft misalignment without adversely affecting the encoder’s accuracy.

Resolutions of up to 10,000 pulses with bore diameter sizes of 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 24mm, 25mm, 27mm, 28mm, 30mm, 32mm, 38mm, 40mm and 42mm and shaft protection class ratings of up to IP64 are possible.

Cable outlets are radial only; the standard cable length is 1.5 metres, producing the RI76TD encoder with longer cable lengths is possible.

The supply voltage is 5V or 10 to 30V DC. Output signals are push-pull with or without complementary signals or RS422 with an optional alarm or sense function.

Encoders are RoHS-compliant, UL-approved, and CE-marked.
